Development and validation of a Spanish language patient satisfaction questionnaire with drug dispensing

Objective: To develop and validate a specificquestionnaire about patient satisfaction with drug dispensingat Spanish community pharmacies. Method: Aself-administered semi-structured questionnaire wasdesigned centered on the perception of the patients with thedispensing service. To validate this questionnaire, it wasadministered at Spanish community pharmacies, whichvoluntarily agreed to participate in the study for a period of2 months (March and April 2006). Patients or caregiverswho were able to read and write were included in the study.Main outcome measure: Scores of the items related tosatisfaction with the dispensing service. Results: Thequestionnaire consisted of: an introduction, 10 closedquestions in an interval scale of five points, an open sectionto express comments, and finally demographic data of thepatients. Twenty-seven community pharmacies participatedin the validation, and 5
