Resumen:
new synthetic method to prepare oxide microparticles (TiO2, SiO2), termed as OMPs, decorated with metallic silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) in a single step reaction is communicated. Carried out in a single pot either in aqueous or water enriched media, the base reaction involves the silver oxide (Ag2O) heterogeneous nucleation onto OMPs surface, which is followed by Ag2O thermal decomposition to produce OMPs decorated with AgNPs (OMP|AgNPs). Optical and morphological properties of OMP|AgNPs were characterized by using UV-Visible and Raman spectroscopy, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), SEM, STEM, TEM and HRTEM.
