Resumen:
he objectives of the present study were to determine the genetic progress in grain yield and to describe the physical and physiological changes alter three cycles of recurrent selection in bread wheat. Although the selection écheme used in this program was effective to increase the grain yield, it is necessary to contemplate tose aspects potentially related to grain yield in a selection index in order to advance harmoniously in the genetic improvement of the species.
