Resumen:
he open cluster NGC 2287 (M41) was observed photoelectrically in the UBV system and a few stars also in RI. Besides, the main sequence stars has seven red giants and one yellow star, all of them above of the turn-off point. The He-weak star HD 49333 is the brightest of the cluster and is located in the HR diagram above the red stars in the extension of the evolutionary branch. The average colour excess E(B-V), due to interstellar reddening, is nearly zero and the true distance modulus was found to be Vo-Mv = 9.0 mag. The cluster age is about 60 Myr according to Lindoff´s method´s. Four of the red stars observed also in the DDO system appear to be cluster members. Effective temperatures, surface gravities, and masses have been derived for these stars. The cluster has approximately solar metal content, the mean iron-to-hydrogen value derived from the red stars being -0.02.
