Resumen:
Mineral elements of nutritional and toxic importance as well as amino acids profile were determined in soybeans grown under contrasting environments in the soybean region of Argentina. A multi-environmental field trial was develope to assess compositional differences of soybeans grown at eight locations, for two consecutive years and in two sowing dates. Main differences on the mineral content were observed among locations but no effect was detected for sowing dates and years. No significant statistical differences were found for total amino acid (TAA) composition among environments, however each amino acid responded differently to the environmental effect. Although two of the toxic elements (Arsenic (As) and Cadmium (Cd)) were found in levels under the tolerated limits, lead (Pb) was found in most samples at a slightly higher content than the tolerated amounts. These research findings may help to understand the environmental variability of soybeans and to complete the nutritional profile of specialty Argentinean soybeans from a multi environmental trial.
