The software provides new applications to describe and quantify the spatial structure of genetic variation. Landscape and spatial genetics has become a rapidly evolving field and the joint analysis of spatial and genetic data has become the norm in population genetic studies. Most methods in spatial statistics are devoted to univariate data whereas the nature of genetic data is strongly multivariate. This stresses the importance of coupling different methodological approaches in the study of spatial structures of genetic variability.
