This paper reportson one aspect of a current research project on Intercomprehension in GermanicLanguages (IGL) for Spanish-speaking adults at the School of Languages ofCordoba State University. It will focus on the collaborative design of researchtools for gathering relevant information about the use of language learningstrategies, which students deploy to simultaneously develop readingcomprehension skills in English, German and Dutch. The context is an IGL coursethat will be taught in the second half of 2016 to Spanish speaking adults withsome knowledge of English (A1/A2 level in the CEFR), which is used as a bridgelanguage.
