Resumen:
his review is focused on the most relevant contributions performed in the field of electrochemical miRNAs biosensors between 2017 and the beginning of 2020. We critically discussed the different amplification strategies and compared the advantages and disadvantages of the amplified miRNA biosensing over the nonamplified ones. We summarized the most important aspects connected to theorganization of the bioanalytical platforms and the strategies used to detect the hybridization event and generate the analytical signals. Special attention was given to the importance of the incorporation of nanostructures, enzymes, labelling molecules, special sequences of nucleic acids or analogues on the global analytical performance.
