Resumen:
This chapter presents a critical discussion about the most relevant carbon nanomaterials-based electrochemical biosensors for the quantification of typical cancer biomarkers like microRNAs, prostate-specific antigen, alpha-fetoprotein, and carcinoembryonic antigen reported in the period 2015-2020. The analysis is focused on the strategies used to build the biosensing platforms, from the selection and immobilization of the biorecognition element, to the transduction of the bioaffinity event into a measurable signal, with special emphasis on the analytical characteristics of the resulting biosensors.
