Labour market effects of migration: a review

The survey goes through the main lines in the literature of labour market effects of migration, covering both labour market assimilation and displacement effects. The first one finds out to what extent the migrants are successfully integrated into the host region, by means of the studies that focus on immigrantsí earnings, and those who focus on immigrant outcomes. The second one deals with the effects that immigration has on the nativesílabour market (that is, the possible displacement effects that migrants may have on native workers), centering as well its attention on earnings and on (un)employment.
