Resumen:
p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 200%; text-indent: 36pt; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">The present study intends to determine the effect of sauroine, the main alkaloid obtained from Huperzia saururus (Lam.) Trev. on memory retention and learning. To evaluate this, electrophysiological experiments and behavioral tests (step down) were performed. Results show that sauroine improves memory retention in the step-down test, significantly increasing hippocampal plasticity.
