Resumen:
n the present work, we report the results of studies concerning the formulation, characterization and anti-angiogensis effect in an induced corneal neovascularization in rats of suramab (SUM), vehiculised into a poloxamer thermosensitive hydrogel. SUM is a new pharmaceutical combination made up of suramine (SUR) and bevacizumab (BVM), which showed a high synergistic effect when administered jointly. As pharmaceutical vehicle, poloxamer aqueous dispersions were used since this systems is able to maintain fluidity at low temperature (37ºC). The formulations were characterized using rheological, biopharmaceutical (drug release) and morphological (SEM) techniques were also addressed. The rheological behavior was influenced by the addition of drugs resulting in the decrease of gelation temperature (Tgel). Both drugs were released from poloxamer gels by mean of an anomalous mechanism. However, BVM was released faster than SUR, and the comb
