Absolute rate coefficients of the reaction of O(3P) atoms with selected chloroethenes

As part of a systematic study of O(³P) atom reactivity, we report in this work absolute rate constants for the reactions of O(³P) with (Z)-CHCl=CHCl, CCl₂=CH₂, CCl₂=CCl₂, and CFCl=CHCl measured in a discharge flow tube apparatus coupled with a chemiluminescence detection system to monitor the O(³P) decay at 298 K. The present work was undertaken in order to complete our previous experimental and theoretical studies of O -chloroethenes reactions.
