Energy transfer between photosynthetic pigments in real time

We provide a new tool for theoretical prediction of photosynthetic pigment excitations and their coupling from the study of the temporal evolution of the electronic excitation in real time, using a model of the electronic structure based on DFT (TD-DFTB, Time-Dependent Density Functional Tight-Binding). From this method we can calculate the real time response of the electrons to any external time varying perturbation.
