Resumen:
his research was performed to investigate the utility of bio-oils, produced via a fast pyrolysis process from different biomass raw materials, as antifungal and antioxidant agents. Kraft pulp, sunflower seed shells, peanut shells and Spirulina seaweed were subjected to pyrolysis transformation in a fixed bed reactor at the different temperatures (300-350°C). Antifungal activity of the bio-oils obtained in the pyrolysis processes was determined by contact assay against the fungal phytopathogenic Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and Sclerotium rolfsii. The results indicate that the growth of both fungi was significantly inhibited by the bio-oils derived from sunflower seed and peanut shells (46.4-75.1 % inhibition) at a concentration of 4 mg/mL. Kraft pulp-derived biooil showed only antifungal effect against S. rolfsii (63.8% inhibition) at 4 mg/mL. Also, the examined bio-oils offered great potential of antifungal activity as a mycelial growth inhibition against S. rolfsii. The antioxidant act
