The papers included in this book address the experiences of the most important economies in South America and Europe -Argentina, Brazil, and Germany- regardinghow they cope with globalization at the turn of the century.
The main interest in comparing the national perspectivesis to understand which are the common challenges of a highly internationalized economy world, which are the differences in the shocks the countries are subject to, and how they react to the specific economic policy problems.
