Resumen:
Increase of bacterial resistance to available drugs is a matter of concern for pharmaceutics all around the world. In this work, we compare gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and a novel kind of coreshell nanoparticles to be used as photosensitizers in Photodynamic Antibacterial Chemotherapy (PACT), an efficient alternative therapy against bacterial strains not sensitive to clinically used antibiotics.
