mart PVCL-based nanogels for photosensitizers were prepared following thethermo precipitation methodology. PVCL-based imprinted and non-imprinted NGsare reported with different percentages of N,N0-methylenebisacrylamide (BIS) ascrosslinker agent. Zn(II)phthalocyanine (ZnPc) is employed as a model photosensitizerand incorporated as a template molecule for imprinted NGs or it loads post-synthesisfor non-imprinted NGs. In order to analyze the chemical structure, NGs were charac-terized using infrared microscopy. Hydrodynamic diameter was determined bydynamic light scattering. The phase transition temperature was measured by UV–visspectroscopy. The phase transition temperature andDhvalues were regulated by thepercentage of crosslinker and the presence of the photosensitizer as a template orpost-synthesis load. In all cases, the yields were acceptable and the smart nanode-vices were stable.
