Any language can be interpreted as a system of mranings with corresponding grammatical forms to realize those manings. A godd handling of conditionals involves proèr knowledge of embedding, proficient command of tense forms to mark appropriate potencial subsequence of certain, possible or impossible events and good grasp of modal auxiliaries uses. Thus, the purpose of this work is to make a study, by no means exhaustive, of the semanttic relationships underlyng the grammrealization of conditional constructions in English
