Resumen:
This chapter presents a critical discussion about the most relevant carbon nanomaterials-based electrochemical biosensors for the quantification of typical cancer biomarkers like microRNAs, prostate-specific antigen, alpha-fetoprotein, and carcinoembryonic antigen reported in the period 2015?20. The analysis is focused on the strategies used to build the biosensing platforms, from the selection and immobilization of the biorecognition element, to the transduction of the bioaffinity event into a measurable signal, with special emphasis on the analytical characteristics of the resulting biosensors.
