Resumen:
We highlight a kind of colored (time-correlated) and non-Gaussian noise source whose statistics obeys the Tsallis´ q-distribution found within the framework of nonextensive statistical physics, and review recent results on noise-induced phenomena arising when the system is submitted to them. In all these phenomena, the system´s response is strongly affected by a departure of the noise source from Gaussian behavior (corresponding to q =1). As the case may be, this translates into shift of transition lines, enhancement of the system´s response or marked broadening thereof. In most examples, the value of the  parameter q optimizing the system´s response turns out to be q=1. These results might be highly relevant for technological applications, and for the understanding of situations of biological interest.
