Resumen:
We propose a model nonlinear inertial device capable of harvesting energy from strongly self-correlated fat-tailed fluctuations through piezoelectric conversion, which can interpolate between square-well and harmonic-like behaviors. We study the interplay between the potential shape and the noise´s spectrum and statistics, and show that 1) its output power increases with the departure from Gaussian statistics, 2) the overall performance is enhanced when an ensemble of such oscillators is coupled nearest-neighborwise but in an antiphase fashion. We also report a real experiment on an electronic analog of the proposed system.
