This work pinpoints the lack of homogeneity prevailing in current statisticalcourses and emphasizes the relevance of the exploratory data analysis. Furthermore, examples that exploit to a maximum level the advantages of the new teaching technology are presented and discussed thoroughly, not only as statistical software, but also as an educational platform
