Resumen:

The reactions of hyperthermal beams are used at the present for the development of film deposition technologies. Studies of the dynamics of these processes could be useful to determine the best reactions conditions for the type of film required.

The reaction of Ba with N2O as oxidizer was studied under hyperthermal beam-gas configuration system. The chemiluminiscent spectra of electronic excited BaO* was observed in the range of 400 to 600 nm wich corresponds to well known electronic transitions of this molecule [1]. Simulation of the experimental spectra was done in order to obtain the nascent vibro-rotational population distribution and the contribution of the different electronic excited states of BaO*. Hot vibrational distributions were found for this reaction which shows inverted vibrational populations. These results are in good agreement with those obtained using effusive beam sources [2].
