Resumen:
The one-dimendional nature of the basic CNT structure allows them to have a huge surface area, the feasibility to act as a semiconductor or metal, the existence of multiple direct band gaps, and the possibility of attachment of a diversity of functional groups and nanoparticles. Moreover, CNTs have received enormous attention as analytical tools in the construction of (bio)sensors to either support the biorecognition element or improve the transduction event, as has been extensively reviewed.
