Resumen:
The complex refractive index describes the optical properties of a material This parameter is required in order to carry out electrodynamics simulations or optimization and to compare with experimental data. Several different datasets for the complex refractive index of α-Fe2O3 are reported in the literature. These exhibit significant differences. For simulation of pigment properties, reliable determination of the α-Fe2O3 refractive index is needed. Refractive index determination by spectroscopic ellipsometry requires as dense and flat a surface as possible
