However,econometrics techniques have a limited capacity to deal with qualitative variablescoming from surveys. This paper presents a defense of the use of statisticalmethods, in particular Multivariate Analysis, which is the overall objective ofthe paper. It is a set of methods powerful when the problem that arises impliesmultiple dependent or interdependent variables of a qualitative nature. Weconsidered an issue of the literature to probe it in a particular topic: thequestion of innovation complementarities.
