Objective: To calculate average years of life with or without disabilities in Argentina.

Methodology: Source: National Disability Survery (ENDI) 2002- 03. Specific disabilities: motor, mental, visual or others; life tables from age and sex mortality rates (vital statistics 2001-2004). Life expectancy with or without disabilities from proportions of people with disabilities according to sex and age.

Results: Important evolution of conceptual framework and measures about disabilities. Different designs of surveys can produce not comparable data. Results of this survey are consistent with scientific literature. It is necessary to have comparable data series on disability in Argentina, which allow to calculate indicators in different provinces.
