Resumen:
p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; mso-layout-grid-align: none">The luminescence of tris(1,10-phenanthroline)chromium(III) perchlorate quenched by a series of phenols was studied at 22+/-2 ºC in both basic (10-3 M NaOH) and acidic ( 10-3M HClO4) solutions using 1:l vol./vol. Metanol/water as solvent. Bimolecular rate constants (kq) were obtained separately from static luminescence intensity and dynamic lifetime measurements and they were coincident. The values were below the diffusional limit in all cases. The resuJts are discussed in terms of the Rehm-Weller-Marcus excited state electron transfer
