Tizoxanide (TIZ), an antimicrobial family of thiazolides crystallizes in a crystal lattice graphitic type, which is unusual in possessing drugs and determines solid state high stability and very low aqueous solubility (Sw). The objective of this study was to prepare and characterize solid dispersions (SD) and cocrystals forms of TIX to determine whether crystallization It can be inhibited by polymeric supports or other drugs and thus improve Sw.
