Resumen:
Symmetry-specific densities of states, Ni(E) = (i = symmetry species) for nonseparable vibrational and rovibrational coupledsystems, are calculated from spectroscopic data by a relatively simple and efficient Monte Carlo technique, which employsTisza?s rules for the symmetry assignments of individual states. Results are presented for NOz and CH20. The calculationsshow the effects of the intermode couplings on Ni(E) and the rate of convergence of Ni(E) toward the group theoretical?regular representation? at high energy.
