Resumen:
Over the long run in Levinas?s work we encounter various meanings of
subjectivity: 1) the ontological or hypostatic subject, the existent subject who relates to
his own existence through a process of identification in a particular instant. 2) The
economic subject who is in the world, a subject who enjoys, suffers, and who acquires
consciousness by producing and resolving his existence in the world. 3) The ethical
subject, constituted by the proximal relationship with the other, which implies
responsibility with them. 4) I would add a fourth notion of the subject in Levinas?s
work: the erotic subject or subject of ?The Phenomenology of Eros? who claims sexual
difference and experiences erotic desire. It is on this subject and his relationship with
feminine alterity that I have based my thesis and about which I will talk today.
