The chapter proceeds as follows. Section 2 estimates the trade openness ratio, the intraregional trade index and the Herfindahl-Hirschmann index. Section 3 develops a model in which the presence of discriminatory policies in a particular sector from a specific MERCOSUR country depends on macro and microeconomic determinants. Section 4 five concludes.
