In this work, we present a combined study of the excited state dynamics of the 7AI-PhOH complex in the gas phase by combination of nanosecond REMPI and LIF spectroscopy with time resolved pump-probe picosecond spectroscopy and quantum chemistry calculations. The results show an ultrafast excited state dynamics upon excitation of the 7AI moiety to the first S1 state of pp* character, that quenches the fluorescence from both tautomers. The ultrafast excited state dynamics is ascribed to CPET.
