his article examines the quotations from Petronius’ Satyricon in Francisco de Quevedo’sAnacreón castellano in order to expose the particular modus citandi of Don Francisco, to examine thePetronian text quoted and to try to determine the possible edition of the Satyricon used by Quevedo.
