blated, pseudo-naked gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) catalyze the cis-trans isomerization of substituted azobenzenes. para-Substitution was found to affect the rate of isomerization, suggesting the participation of AuNP-mediated electron transfer in the isomerization mechanism.
