Action policies of the permanent commission of good manufacturing practices of compounding pharmaceutical products of the province of Córdoba

Resumen:
In 2008, the Permanent Commission of Good Manufacturing Practices of Compounding Pharmaceutical Products (CP) at the College of Pharmacists of Córdoba (CPC) was formed. This Commission is composed by 24 representatives of the hospital, community, industrial and academic pharmaceutical areas and also by representatives of the CPC and the Ministry of Health of Córdoba. The Commission purposes are to contribute to the quality assurance of the CP elaborated in community pharmacies. In this context, it followed an action policy aimed to the development of: 1) information materials 2) training activities and 3) links with groups of similar interests.The aim of this presentation was to make known the activities developed by the Commission during the 2008-2016 period.To this end, the ?Good Practice Pharmaceutical Activity Guide ? Elaboration of CP? was published (approved by the Ministry of Health of Cordoba, MSPC RES. 1326/2010, 2nd version: Res. MSPC 379/2015). In addition, the ?Provincial Formulary of Normalized CP? (RES. DJFC 152/2012 and Modification DJFC 384/2015) was published in 2012. These materials are freely available on the website of the Commission. In 2014, the "Laboratory Procedure Manual", which is an informative guide with the steps needed to meet the regulatory requirements was also published. Among the training activities the "1st National Pharmaceutical Conference on Good Practices in the Preparation and Dispensing of CP" directed to compounding pharmacists was performed in 2015.In addition, outreach activities such as participation in pharmaceutical congresses, the visit to the Quality Control Laboratory of CP of the College of Pharmacists of Buenos Aires and the participation in COFA (Argentinian Pharmaceutical Confederation) events were also performed. Currently, we are working on different projects, as the elaboration of a document with technical specifications of raw materials, the organization of training events and the elaboration of protocols for counter medicine for minor disorders, among others.In overall, the activities performed by the commission, demonstrate a commitment by all its members and by the CPC to actively contribute to the elaboration and dispending of high quality CP.
