Resumen:
3D printing is a flexible manufacturing technique that offers critical advantages for the rapid prototyping of new devices for several applications due to its ability to fabricate complex geometries and the diversity of materials used through this technological platform. 3D printing enables the fabrication of complex, micron-sized tissue scaffolds and models for drug test systems that closely resemble in vivo conditions, playing an essential role in various pharmaceutical science research applications. This chapter discusses the recent development of drug release analysis systems and cell culture applications created using this technology, including unconventional dosage form dissolution devices, microfluidic systems, acellular scaffolds, organ-on-a-chip systems, and many others.
