Resumen:
In the present work, a novel nanoplatform (NPT) composed of three types of materials with different functionalities has been successfully prepared. In particular, a core-shell Fe3O4@Au nanoparticle embedded near the outer part of the mesoporous silica m-SiO2 (Figure 1). The Fe3O4 was responsible of the unusual location of the core-shell nanoparticle while the plasmonic properties of gold nanoparticles act as an optical antenna. Moreover, the silica allowed the functionalization of the pores with Rose Bengal, by chemical bonding, and added biocompatibility to the system. The NPT was characterized by a battery of techniques such as UV-visible and FTIR spectroscopy, microscopy, magnetism and thermogravimetry.
