Resumen:
With a combined approach of highly accurate surface science experimental techniques and numerical simulations, we have investigated the mechanism of nucleation, anchoring, and growth of Cu clusters grown onto Ni3Al(111) supported alumina ultrathin films. We have also studied the reactivity of these clusters for CO adsorption and breaking, discussing the influence of the support and of CO coverage on different reaction paths.
