b> Abstract Myelin Basic Protein (MBP) is an oligodendrocyte-specific protein essential for oligodendrocyte morphogenesis at late stages of cell differentiation. There is evidence that the morphogenetic function of MBP may be mediated by MBP interaction with the cytoskeleton.
