Properties of Chitosan with Thionine using glutaraldehyde as crosslinking agenty were studied. The products were characterized through FT-IR and rheological studies of using flow of small amplitude. The analysis from FT-IR spectra evidenced the influence of Thionine covalently bonded to the matrix through imine groups wedges. The rheological studies of this modified matrix showed a typical gel behavior. Electrochemical characterization of the products is in progress.
