Resumen:
!--[if gte mso 9]> The voltammetricresponse of colloidal Fe(OH)2 films chemically precipitated on platinum, goldor vitreous carbon as conducting substrates was studied. The potentiodynamic behaviordepends on the nature of both the substrate and the alkaline cation (Na+,K+ or Li+) present in the electrolyte and in theprecipitating solutions.Theoxidation of Fe(OH)2 films leads to a double layer structure composed of aninner Fe3O4.4H2O layer and an outer one ofhydrous d-FeOOH. Thepredominance of each layer is dependent on both the electrolyte composition andthe perturbation conditions.
