Resumen:
This proposal, designed for EFL teachers of adult learners and based on the idea that pronunciation improvement should be one of the objectives in the language syllabus, is rooted in the belief that appealing to the use of affective strategies through purposeful activities and responsible tutoring may result in improvement in an adult?s phonological performance. Language teachers can help their students establish their own pronunciation targets. On this basis, through different activities, EFL teachers can encourage learners to make use of a variety of strategies and take control of their own learning, enhance their self-confidence and accomplish pronunciation improvement.
