ABSTRACT

The purpose ofthis presentation is to develop a composite indicator to evaluate and todetermine the physiological condition of patients on treatment of dialysis.This indicator should be reliable and consistent.

It is soughtto establish an order of alternatives pursuant to various criteria whichsupport the physiological conditions of these patients.

Compositeindicators can be understood quickly and easily and they give a guidance tofollow.

To formalizethe composite indicator we have considered the clinical laboratories. The studywas conducted in one of the most important hospital in Córdoba (Argentina).

To solve theproblem, we have applied the Multi-criteria Decision Analysis Method: MOORA(Multi-criteria Objective Optimization on the basis Ratio Analysis).

The referral to experts in order to define theevaluation criteria and the relative weights has been performed by applicationof the Delphi Method.
