A high-performance liquid chromatographic assay for the stability of 2-(3,5-dimetil-4-isoxazolilamino)-N-(3,5-dimetil-4-isoxazolil)-1,4-naftoquinona-4-imina (1) is described. The behaviour of 1 was investigated in aqueous solutions over a ph range of 2,41 to 13,45, at 35 C and at a constant ionic strength of 0,5. The rate constant and half-lives were calculated from the concentrations of compound 1 obtained at various intervals.
