Resumen:
uberculosis is one of the most important global healthproblems. Multidrug resistant (MDR)-tuberculosis is caused byMycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis) resistant to the firstline drugs (rifampin-isoniazid). Photodynamic antimicrobialchemotherapy (PACT) has reemerged as an alternative againstresistant bacteria. In this work, we synthetized liposomes ofDipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine and Cholesterol as carrier ofZnPc. The ZnPc-liposomes photodynamic activity was tested intwo strains of M. tuberculosis, a sensible (ATCC 27294) andMDR-M. tuberculosis. As result, both strains were inactivated byZnPc-liposomes. The photodynamic activity was dependent ofincubation time and light dose supplied. The photokillingactivity was considerably higher for sensible strain than forMDR one.
