Resumen:
he article explores the degree of continuity and change of the British, French and Aboriginal cultures in Canada. The investigation focuses on the hypothesis that, despite the divisions that have resulted from ethnic differences, more people in Canada are self-identifying with being Canadian and no longer, or not only, with the ethnic group in which they belong. At present, although several groups continue to struggle to be recognized as a distinct society within the Canadian cultural mosaic, at the same time they support the project of a diverse nation and of a single Canadian identity.
