The object of this paper is to analyze the economic impact of the upstream sector activities of oil, natural gas and mining in Argentina, focusing in last 2 decades. From the analysis of economic impact of the exploitation of nonrenewable resources, including the economic evaluation of enviromental pollution generated for that activities, this paper identify the impact of these activities in argentinian exports and import inflows, balance of trade, foreign currency generation, national and local goverments revenues, wages and employment generation
