Resumen:
In this session, presenters from Albania, Algeria, Thailand, and Argentina discuss major obstacles to effective use of coursebooks, and ways that mismatches between materials and classroom contexts can be addressed. Issues include cultural appropriateness, ministry mandated innovation, misalignment with student language levels, and teachers? attitudes towards locally produced materials.
